  We are in a PC society , part of the problem is the rights to correct a pupil can often get out of hand .
  
  I had to visit schools over the years and found it strange in the different ways teachers taught pupils and the lack of any kind of discipline in some schools.
  
  I was surprised when I visited the primary academy in Folkestone where opening doors for example for someone coming along the corridor was quite normal, and most pupils well behaved .
  
  That was not my experience in many schools
