Maybe I am being simplistic but when I was a child we were inoculated against what were then common illnesses and they gradually disappeared so I really don't understand the ever growing number of people that are against their children being vaccinated.

false/fake information on internet as in scaremongering, saying that such inoculations where linked to autisum etc.

Two words: The internet.
Nowadays, everyone is an expert in everything thanks to the net. You can find an academic report to basically conclude whatever your preconceived notions are, it's a big problem.

Two other words - Daily Mail.
I have nothing but contempt for the paper and the 'journalists' responsible for the MMR scare of over a decade ago.

And for those who wonder what happened to the 'disgraced' Doctor Andrew Wakefield - he is doing very well thank you with sell out meetings still peddling his lies in the USA and is shacked up with supermodel Elle sodding Macpherson.
Bastard. Especially over the last bit.

Religious nutters, of all ilks, and pseudo-medics at the heart of all this absolute nonsense. The internet and the populist papers certainly haven't helped.

In ancient times when vaccine is not existing, some diseases are present. I wondered why some people nowadays are against it.

The days when mothers stayed at home and looked after their children are well in the past, so a lot of their care in their formative years is now outsourced to strangers.
I supposed the modern trend to query everything assuages some of the guilt that parents may feel when abandoning them to daily care outside the home.
What is a puzzle though is why some, with such strong objections to inoculations against disease, do not object to the taxpayers cash ‘injection’ help for childcare on the grounds of any future problems childcare might provide their offspring with.
Do nothing and nothing happens.

I totally agree with you that children should be vaccinated .

I don't understand that either. Why fight medicine, our only friend who has saved us from many diseases like the plague.
