US author Sue Grafton, creator of the Kinsey Millhone PI or 'alphabet' crime novels, has died, one novel short of the complete set of twenty six. I've never read a word of any of them, and it's a long time since I read any detective fiction at all (I think Paul Auster's
New York Trilogy back in the 1980s), so I can't vouch for their quality, but that is a bit cruel. (Expect a rush at your local DDC library.) If Trump had any heart (and had ever read a book) he'd organise a 'Z free day' in tribute.
