    Having read the act (http://www.legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/2015/36/contents/enacted/data.htm again it makes no reference to whether the result is or is not binding on parliament; in such case one must therefore fall back on parliamentary custom and practice, which has always been that referenda are advisory as stated by Ministers in the debate of said act.
