Yeah right Ray. You do realise that China (just imagine the ongoing row for reparations and general recrimination if the Chinese Bat Flu has come from America) is not our friend and that there is but the width of a cigarette paper between Chinese 'independent' industry and the CCP?

Funny that all the problems in our schools was spread on TikTok which is wholly owned by ByteDance? Co-incidence?

Since 2015 China has been cutting back on offshoring of production, though the spread of such as Temu, CapCut and Shein (may pull off a higher IPO than Amazon?) are sneaking on to mobile phones 'Everything Everywhere All at Once' to coin a phrase.

It's all disinformation Ray. The Great Game has gone for a Chinkie.

You honestly think they are going to be encouraged instead to build a factory in the Euroland of Fiat, Renault, Audi, VW etc while even Germany (whose last best friend was Gazprom and Mr Putin) are about to ban Huawei from mobile operators?

BTW did I tell you my favourite Chinese Joke?

My Chinese neighbour said he's just opened a crows shop.

Speaking slowly I said 'Don't you mean a clothes shop?'

He said 'No, it's a crows shop. Come in and have a rook'.

    Do have a rubbery day.

If you don't believe me, then have a read of what the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders has to say. It's generally assumed they know a bit about the industry they represent even if you manifestly don't.

So the UK doesn't want a share of the action through investment by the largest seller of electric/hybrid cars in the world? They employ 280,000 people world wide but we don't want any of that Chinese nonsense, do we? They're actually 7% owned by Warren Buffet's holding company but don't worry about him. He's useless at investments after all.

Tesla opted for Germany and British Volt went down the pan because its target market (would you believe cars) proved unviable. Is there a common theme here perhaps?

Those damned Chinkies. They're good for nothing except crap jokes. Do you know who is the sole owner of HSBC UK which our government has just allowed to buy SVB UK, for the princely sum of £1 rather than intervene in the market itself?

And whilst on the subject or knowing, I did have a notion that ByteDance owned TikTok. But, hey, the Daily Mail says they are responsible for all the problems in our schools. What utter codswallop. In the world of big data, do you really think they will hold the UK to ransom of trillions of terrabytes of kids' dicpics? All social media and messaging systems are inherently dangerous in the world of big data. If politicians and civil servants are stupid enough to use TikTok they've only got themselves to blame.

    Ask Matt Hancock.
