  Unfortunately, DHB and the ferry companies have nowhere near the same control over their infrastructure as Eurotunnel has. Hard as Doug Bannister has tried to elicit the required dosh from central government, the port is constrained by its geography and government fear of anything that raises negative Brexit implications.

  
  
  Exactly. Government won't want to solve it, because doing so admits there is a problem in the first place. They'll stick fingers in ears and hope it goes away all on its own.
