He can be highly persuasive and will have more influence 'inside the tent' than outside it. He is, I believe, a shade more eurosceptic than his new boss so he might be able to shift the agenda slightly in the right direction.

Minister of State for Europe, Brian, doesn't mean "Minister of State for the European Union".

Charlie Elphicke may say that he is eurosceptic but his voting record on supporting the Government on E.U.matters and his lack of membership of the Conservative eurosceptic Bruges Group and his lack of membership of the crossparty eurosceptic Better Off Out Group say other wise...Incidentally,the main members of the Bruges Group are Lord Tebbut,John Redwood M.P., Bill Cash M.P. and one of main members of the Better Off Out Group in Kent is the Conservative M.P.,for Sittingbourne and Sheppey ,Gordon Henderson...I do not believe Charlie has attended any meetings or given his support to these two Groups..If I am wrong,I am sure Charlie or his supporter will let me know.

I miss my chats with Howard in priory street waiting for bus , or on way to town .
At least he was never frightened to say what he thought
He was even threatened with legal action but didn't deter him lol
Missing you. Howard
