  #917 - More unfairness? We no longer send kids up chimneys, we at least strive to reduce abuse of the vulnerable and reduce reoffending, unfairness is recognised even if we have been unable to eradicate it. There are more regulatory bodies than you can shake a stick at. We get it wrong, we fail at almost every level, but at least we are trying, and it is less and less easy to conceal sharp practice. Self interest will always be a driving force, but we are beginning to create good mechanisms for protection from that being the main driver. And fairness is relative don't forget!! What you see as fair might appear to another to be disproportionately weighted.
