    # 1063....reminds me of the two differnt worlds.......

As a child have you ever known hungry days? toast with dripping for breakfast, yorkshire pudding with jam for Sunday

tea, followed a school chum eating an apple waiting for the core, had your nan take you to `Douglas Street market`to buy

you a`new`pair of secondhand shoes and if your luck is in take you to ``Manx`s,in Deptford High Street for `horsemeat`

pie and mash with wonderful parsley liquer?

In later life having the company chauffeur, who lived in Plaistow,East London, and ate at Manx`s regularly, take you to and

from airports, meetings in london and everywhere. On many such trips we would stop over at Manx`s for take aways of pie

and mash and wonderfull liquer and jellied eels.

Seeing both sides of the `coin`helps you appreciate what is going on in your country.

Imagine if our Cabinet Ministers had such appreciation,we may have had a cabinet with a Social Conscience and even a

chance of all being in it together.....

    ....such dreams..
