It gives me no pleasure to prove to you, that the poor ARE getting poorer.
My wife is disabled and I am her carer.
That makes me neither employed or un-employed.
With petrol, utilities and food, all gone and going up, coupled with benefits being taken away from us, with no increase in my pension this year and having it frozen for the next 2 years.
We are definitely getting poorer.
PS. The wife has had her Hydro-Therapy, Tai Chi therapy and travel tokens taken away.
We still have sky but given up HD.
We stopped smoking, don't visit towns like Maidstone etc. any more or local towns as much as we used to because petrol is too dear.
We are waiting for my wife to be dragged into having her disability disputed yet again and looking at the possibility of having to give up our council house, in the same street that I was born in, because my children have grown up and we will have to start paying for empty bedrooms.
