  Jo Cox like many people in the limelight has been the victim of an online hate campaign which has escalated despite her ignoring the bile. This seems to be the norm on a lot of social media so I wasn't surprised by Neil's post. The referendum has brought standards to a new low and much as I don't like our PM he shouldn't be "swinging from a lamp post for selling our country out to Muslims etc".
  
  Although I laugh at the insistence from many that Barack Obama is a Muslim the underlying problem is that the hard of thinking and those with mental health issues would take things further if they could. Presidents and Prime Ministers are well protected but day to day politicos are exposed to nutters. Something has to be done to eliminate internet poison but our local and national press allow all sorts of accusations and foul language on their websites.
