Thats easy - the reforms that gives more central control and influence to EU institutions over our lives, such as membership of the Euro in with Eurozone control over fiscal and monetary policy . The very things that we must get away from and need like a hole in the head.

i doubt that is the case barry, recent mutterings from brussels are about repatriation of some powers to member states in order to stem the rise of euro scepticism.

errr Howard - come on.
This always happens, mutterings designed as a sop to the gullible natives. Remember subsidiarity, that word still gets brought out but it is meaningless, they say that and still end up centralising decision making. You can never believe the words that come out of the EU or EU supporting politicians, believe their actions instead.
Blimey, politicians are expected to be mendacious but the EU lot make our domestic politicians look like the very model of honesty and truthfulness by comparison at least on the subject of the EU.

disagree entirely barry those on the gravy train can only stay on it if uprisings are quelled or at least dampened down.
the currency is unlikely to survive in the long term and unless serious reforms are made the union itself will collapse with only the nett recipient countries trying to hold it together.

If we are to be part of the EU then it must be a level playing field same VAT has there's that will stop people going to Belgium for cheap tobacco, drive on the same side as them and have the euro it seems to me that if its good for our government we are in and if its good for the people we are out two many rules are coming from the EU and we are the silly sods who abide by them when they don't. was in Berlin some months ago and was asked in hotel if i wanted a smoking or no smoking room at the bar was allowed to smoke and eat in same place.you cant do that here.
