Joke or not Brian, he would certainly liven up PMQ’s, Mrs May’s worst nightmare I would imagine.

While it's all good fun to describe the DUP as antediluvian climate change denying homophobes, looking at their actual policies (rather than what one of their MPs might have said sometime somewhere and amplified out of all recognition in the Guardian) it's a bit of a shame that they don't stand on the mainland with their backing of what I suspect a large section of the electorate would view as solid common sense policies.

Common sense!! That comedian who stood against Nigel in the 2015 General election opined that the country was looking for someone waving a. pint glass around talking common sense to vote for.

A bunch of meaningless platitudes. They do not even have a majority support in the contrived entity that is Northern Ireland. As for Farage (he of the failed Germain passport application) is concerned, he is arguably the biggest hypocrite ever to have held prominence in national politics. No wonder he is scurrying around trying to find a job amongst fellow bigots. His former gravy train is ending soon. My heart bleeds for him.

Well, as Einstein possibly did, but maybe didn't, say, 'Common sense is the collection of prejudices acquired by age eighteen.' This is just as true in politics as it is in science. But, hey, what did Albert know: born a Jew, educated a Catholic. But there's certainly enough prejudices in the DUP to keep Farage afloat. 'Get the ethnics out' indeed.

He has achieved what he set out to do which was to get a Referendum on our EU membership but continues because he has to be in the limelight. He seems to have only one political interest which makes him a far from ideal MP.

NOTHING wrong with wanting to be seen in the limelight if he is working to be there.Do you think he would have got done what he set out to do if he WAS not in the limelight? No to that one most of them get to be there because of being in the limelight .

Farage is an attention seeking hypocritical charlatan/snake oil salesman who is only interested in what is the best way to keep making money for himself.
He doesn;t give 2 hoots about ordinary working people or their problems

His main problem is being a one trick pony that can only talk about anything in relation to the EU. The next General Election will be after the leave negotiations have been completed so he would have to think up something new to champion which would stretch him.

It's amusing that hero addicts without a cause love to refer to their deities as "mr". You will hear that in America a lot with rednecks speaking about Mr. Trump. Mr Farage? What has that arse done to deserve any respect?

Ross/Ray/Stuart.
I take it that you will not be joining in with the “Independence Day” celebrations on the 23 June then?
Don’t worry though, I’ll raise a glass on your behalf to thank our Nige’ for all he’s done for us!
I will now retreat to find my tin hat!

I certainly wont be lauding Farage
I was disappointed with the outcome of the referendum, but accept that is the wish of the electorate, just wish the government would stop making a complete hash of it

Who was that other politician of very dubious pedigree that opted to muddy the mudded waters of Ulster politics...Enoch Powell, wasn't it?

No need to wear a tin hat on my account, John. Perhaps the saddest aspect of this farcical act of Tory misrule is the way it has polarised our society. There's no point in anyone further fueling the flames.
I rather fear your June 23rd independence day celebration will turn out to be something of a damp squib. There's not been to celebrate thus far, has there?

A great day for Nigel spotters in Deal today, been seen in at least 3 shops and also on the splendidly refurbished pier but surprisingly no sightings of him waving a pint around outside a pub.

just listening to all the usual suspect's Howling, tells you how effective Farage is as a politician?
he's probably back to take a big bite out of the labour vote, in a maybe upcoming general election?
