not to be confused with the minimum wage, i'm not sure how they reach the figure as people's outgoings vary considerably.
someone still living at their parents home needs a lot less than someone who is paying rent/mortgage and possibly rail fares to get to work.

Meaningless sound bite. If somebody goes from the min wage to the mythical living wage it requires a 20% pay rise, so what happens to those currently on £7.00 per hour or £9.00 per hour?
Govt should cut taxes to make people better off and then manage govt finances better.
