I didn't even read the article, Jan. I was just pointing out that, whilst dissatisfied person might be welcome to hop on a ferry, in practice he or she couldn't.
And despite Reggie's assertion, my other point was nothing to do with grammar. Can you seriously think of anyone who has been born and bred homeless?
