Now we have a Home Secretary and Mayor of London both sons of Pakistani bus drivers climbing their way to the top after leaving comprehensive schools which shows that it is not always necessary to be schooled at Eton.

Conservatives look for the best person for the job rather than being hung up on quotas and all women lists and so on. Met Sajid a couple of years ago. I was far too busy listening to him talk than think about his background. Hell of a slap head though. V noticeable.

'In a speech later, Sajid Javid will say everyone has a "part to play" to stop the spread of poisonous ideologies.' (Of course, he hasn't said it yet, just handed a copy of the script to the BBC to make sure the Corporation's 'on message'.)
