  My late partner had cancer and every so often she had to go into hospital. One Saturday morning I arrived at the William Harvey to find her reeling in agony so I rushed around to find a doctor and eventually came across a nurse sitting down with a "Take a break" magazine, she grudgingly said she would be down in a minute. Ten minutes later she arrives and says "would you like a paracetamol"? this despite the board at the bottom of the bed stating that she was on morphine. When I asked for a doctor to intervene she said there wasn't any on duty.
