    The consultant told me ring his secretary even wrote down her number for me, the secretary sounded like one of those harridan receptionists in 1980 GP surgeries everywhere, Claiming that the consultant a "MR" not a "DT had no right to give number out.

    Like Alec my surgery has no problem discussing test results over the phone, if all OK no point in wasting GP time with an appointment.
