I’m disappointed but not surprised to be overlooked in the New Years honours again.

The mysterious selection of the chosen ones yet again. Political 'friends', sports and arts people and those simply doing their job with a few well deserving ordinary people to make up the numbers.
A shame Kent's young Tony Hudgell was not recognised for raising well over a million pounds for the hospital that saved his life but I guess he is just too young.

I try to be neutral and polite but it is hard and getting even more difficult at times.

Yes Jan I agree
Political parties make nominations and even our own MP
I recall someone in the 5 a side league who got an MBE upon investigation he was proposed by G Prosser the MP at the time.
The guy getting the gong , wasn't liked in his village ,
The 5 a side league didn't like him
He hadn't done half the time of people who had dedicated 40 years to the youth .
So it seemed a strange one to pick out.
It would have lost our Gwyn more votes than he thought he would gain .
But the guy did do the labour party tote Lol
