Roger, the reason people don't 100% believe that is because of the 'cast-iron' pledge that there would be a referendum after the last election, which wasn't so cast-iron after all as it turns out. They also have doubts about it being on a revised relationship with the EU which has yet, and might not, be achieved.
But if we end up with a Labour government and unelected Nichola Sturgeon pulling Milliband's strings (don't forget she isn't even standing for Parliament so how the hell does she get so much say?) there won't be a need for a referendum, there'll be riots and revolution with England declaring UDI from everywhere
