As this was an election for a local MP, as opposed to MEP who seems to be of little value, I think Labour should be rather worried about their percentage of the vote and the Tories even more. Add the Brexit and Conservative vote together Labour would have lost even with the LibDem and Greens added.
It seems both Conservative and Labour need to get their respective acts together and sort out the Brexit problem and follow the populations wishes before there is a General Election, or worryingly we could in theory end up with Farage as an MP or even worse PM.

Given that the Brexit party consider themselves too young to have to be bothered with such minutiae as a manifesto, it's impossible to know what they really think about anything other than Brexit. We do, however, know that Farage is very close to Trump and has himself advocated an insurance based approach to public healthcare in the past. We also know that one of their candidates has some extremely bizarre (to put it mildly) ideas about human sexuality. Both are issues which surely are legitimate causes for concern. Or am I lying?
Notwithstanding all that, I'll prefer to stick with my view that anyone who believes Farage and his acolytes could be trusted to run a bath yet alone a country, is seriously deluded.

As you say Ray legitimate cause for concern, but Farage being friends with trump and dear Ann being a bit long in the tooth doesn't make the brexit party anti gay or anti nhs.
It's these sweeping generalisations that contribute to peoples extremist views on so many subjects, and part of the problem is the lack of challenge to those who spread these lies.
No argument with your 2nd paragraph!

May be time that Keith and Brian grew up and stop baiting each other tit for tat posts that give no actual information and certainly provide no debate.

Keith,
I think the majority of us do not trust our politicians. BTW I am quite big enough in fact I hope to grow no more and when you actually post something I can agree or disagree with I will.
I will ignore the moderator jibe as I have only given my opinion about some of your posts.

There'll not be many posters left if KS, BD & JH all move to Peterborough.

I have (in September)!
N.B. There are now about 2,200 miles (3,500 km) of navigable canals and rivers throughout the United Kingdom.
