It's the price to pay for vanity and ego, if you believe you can change and improve things you're going to be challenged and that applies to all of us.
Despite protestations I'm never personal but I'll continue to hold people to account, if you are paid to represent the electorate they deserve to know what's going on.
I'm not paid a penny and have little influence but I'm working hard to change what I perceive as bad governance; DDC is inept and wastes money, Charlie postures and talks a good game but doesn't deliver.
I've been selected by UKIP to represent this constituency, Charlie has had a very comfortable 4 years, credit to him for the way he's managed situations. But I'm going to persist in asking him several things:
Why does he keep referring to the clinic as a hospital?
What is he doing about deal hospital?
What is being done to replace Walmer secondary which closed recently?
What has he done to regenerate dover which impacts on the wider community?
Why does he pretend to be euro sceptic when he always votes pro EU?
Why waste time meeting minor dignitaries in Calais pretending you're sorting out illegal immigration?
Come on Charlie, you've had an easy ride for 4 years, you've been promoted and life's good. Are you a career politician using Dover & Deal as a stepping stone or do you really have the constituency at heart?
Incidentally, I appreciate Charlie isn't a member on here, I'm also aware he'll get to read this word for word.

It is not a clinic it is a hospital I do not support our mp in anyway but if you are going say things get it right first it is a Hospital and should be called one .
This kind of talk will work against you as you will find out in the weeks running up to the gen /election if you want to well keep to the facts and stop having goes at cllrs that do their best .
What you have to think about if you replace one of them and I for one hope that does not happen not but that is only my own view.
But if you do how and what would you do that they have not try in the pass.
Because take it from me if you get in and end up not doing the things you say you will do the public will hang you out to dry just as you are trying to do now keep to the facts of the case .

I met Charlie's underling today, a young Tory apparatchik dispatched to the provinces to spread the word.
Feedback suggests the opinion from the public was the same as mine.

There were several rosetted bodies around Charlie when I went past this morning, not one of them made an approach to those of us passing by, they seemed to be more interested in chatting to each other.

I try to be neutral and polite but it is hard and getting even more difficult at times.

i think the new hospital/clinic will be a worthy addition to dover going by the size of it, many consultants appointments and minor procedures will be done there.
accident and emergency, birthing and serious surgery will not happen there despite chas's earlier rhetoric, despite that i think he has done well enough.

Sorry but he did not do it the N.H.S, done it what we are getting was on the cards before he even started on about it. Some members of our public done a lot more at N.H.S. Meeting along time before he got in on the act.

Mr Dixon you cannot say that because you never go to any meetings to find out and what you are saying sir is just not true.

vic,of course its true what I say,
if you want to cheak out what a REAL hospital looks like, look at the 3 out of town ones, ashford, canterbury and margate.and get them to give you a tour of what they offer then compare it to dovers one.

You reading what I put .you cannot have the kind of Hospital you are talking about in all the towns who and how would they be funded the working person would be paying over "200pounds aweek NHS stamp or even more so that will not happen what Dover is getting is the next best thing to it as I also told you when was the last NHS meeting you went to have you ever taken part in the East Kent Hospital trust public meetings held all over the county and it is a no to any of that .
We have one if not the best run Hospital trust in the whole of the UK it has been voted the best it is run by very good and helpful staff, you have to only read your papers or turn on the TV to fine out how bad some are run so think yourself lucky to be in the number one of the UK is still you are not happy join up it is free and have your say .
