Shame it does not include parish and town councils where there are frankly too many councillors, they should be reduced too.
As for county councillors, 81 is a ludicrous number perhaps a reduction to 61 would be appropriate giving a ratio of 1 councillor per 25,000 residents

Without doubt we need to see a reduction in Town cllrs as well, hopefully this will come about.
I'v put on here before having 9 cllrs for one ward is far to many any reduction will be welcomed
4 town cllrs many rarely seen in the ward.
lets hope we have a big shake up

16 councillors for 6 wards seems excessive
With a population of c30,000 people that gives a ratio of 1 councillor for each 1939 people which seems on the low side perhaps a reduction to no more than 12 town councillors would be in order giving a ratio of 1:2585
Likewise at District the proposed reduction is ok giving 1 district councillor for each 3200 residents (Deal - 8, Dover - 14, Aylesham - 2, Sandwich - 2, rural areas - 8), but perhaps could go a little further to say one per 5000 people dropping it to 21 councillors

If you truly represent your electorate 5.000 Ross is a high number. When I was on the Counci. I can honestly say I knew most people in the ward .i still get people coming up to me with their concerns.Only today I was able to show my concern to someone who was advising me of some one close .who is very ill.I apologised to the person as a few weeks ago after I had been to a funeral the concerned person came to me with problems re the bus service.I felt I did not listen very well on that occasion hence my apology today .Going from 2000 to 5000 is a big ask .
Maybe I took my work very seriously .

As the post 9 as far as I'm aware hasn't taken up such a position I feel it might be better so see the views that have.
of course all views would be welcome.
Some cllrs are very active and to make the ward to big like Sue says can make that Cllr less effective.
There are a handful of cllrs on each of the councils, but maybe it's not the boundaries but the people that find themselves elected.
I feel the Town council having 4 cllrs is 3 to many in priory
