No, I haven't changed parties (!) but I thought others might be interested in the fact that the Reform Party Conference is being live streamed on You Tube 20/9 & 21/9.

Seems as though an experienced DIYer tried to widen the Overton window, only to have several established contractors join forces to brick it up again.

Being a "proper" political party, in Parliament, is significantly more challenging than shouting from the sidelines. They need to bridge that gap to make further progress and I will be interested to see if they can do that.

Good heavens, is it? I was under the impression that the very essence of our traditionally yah-boo politics was to shout from and, indeed, to the sidelines!

Given what the 'proper' political parties have done to this country over the last several decades, I can't imagine anyone with any sanity left who would want to be associated with anything resembling one.

What else can we expect when our present lot of politicians put their careers and finances above what is best for the rest of us, sadly I do not think anything will change for a long time.

In which 'our' Nigel throws the toys out of the pram at the thought of losing his KCC basic annual allowance (£17,123.06) AS WELL AS his winter heating allowance!

It does look like reform will probably do well in KCC elections, but no sure they will win enough seats to control council

'Independent' = substituting a red nose and multi-coloured wig for oversized shoes and a slapstick and hoping nobody notices.

Fun Fact - of 230 council by-elections since the General Election, just 13 seats won for Reform UK.

Going to be interesting who controls council after election .
Strange that to busy , James Defriend who resigned from town council has a firm belief that political parties should not stand in local elections ! Campaigned on it !
Yes, you guessed it , he's standing as a political party candidate . Double standard or what !!
In the slightest of chances of his being elected , let's hope h e lasts longer than a year
