Quits as Tory leader on June 7th. Should we all feel sorry? Enter Boris, stage right, dressed as a wild Farage.
God help us all.

A tearful departure from a blinkered, stubborn woman who has managed to divide her party into several small factions that might never be completely united again.

I really, really hope Boris Johnson gets it. I want him to finally have to take responsibility for his bluster and nonsense.

No sympathy
Should have just gone for it 3years ago
Now we are in a real mess
Can we really afford to have Boris in
The mess we are in ?

I’m undecided who to support yet but for those who think Boris is not up to the job I ’ll leave with this thought. He ran London for two terms. His greatest strength was not his ability to deal with every issue but to ensure the team he built could do the job & deliver. My experience in dealing with the London team as a South East Councils representative during that time was on Transport , Housing & Planning they were top notch & we in the wider South East needed to be equally served to match & keep up with their agenda & implications particularly for Kent. If he were to translate that expertise in Government he’ll do well on the national agenda. As for the wider Foreign affairs & Defence matters, I think he’ll have learnt from his stint as Foreign Secretary & be wiser.
His alleged failure is his mouth.

He may be, but the worry is that he will open mouth and insert feet and make himself and the UK look stupid much as he did often enough when he was Mayor of London.

Watch where Charlie puts his support. He ALWAYS backs the winning horse, regardless of direction of travel.

Another thing to watch is the Heathrow expansion. How will he deal with that?

Brian it would be a good idea to delete your last post. Perceived incitement to violence or conspiracy to commit is a criminal offence these days!

For what it's worth, in the last General Election I voted Conservative for the first time in my voting life SOLELY because of Mrs May. Sadly that meant voting for Mr Elphicke. Following her departure - brought on, I think, by people who put party and/or self-interest before country, hell will freeze over before I repeat that again.
