this will have severe repercussions as other member states have been following the referendum closely.

Well its nice for a country to listen to their fellow citizen of switzerland and demonstrating Democracy for a change.
As in many other EU countries most of the citizen get fooled and fobbed off by their own government.
So well done Switzerland :)

You mean, Howard, the EU commissars have been making aggressive noises at Switzerland.
The Helvetians once showed me what they would do to invaders.
These people won't take any EU New World Order nonsense.

i agree alex, the eu is saying that countries cannot cherry pick what they want to agree to.
the truth is that switzerland is a nett importer so there is no chance of sanctions being brought against them.

The EU needs us more than we need the EU. That has been bleedin' obvious from day 1, otherwise they would not have let us in.

I think the boot is on the other foot Brian. The EU take £45 million - net, off of us every day. Think of the flood defences we could afford in just one week.
