everybody has a moan about their council wherever they live but i think the above take the biscuit.
personality clash after personality clash, allegiance switching etc, difficult to see how they find the time to get any civic work done.

I thought this was about Thanet not Dover

did you read the report david, similar stories have come out every few months.
do you know of any ddc councillors defecting?
do you know of any that leave childish death threats on another's answering machines?
do you know of any that run to the police about silly things(one excepted of course)?

Calm down Howard.
I know Cllr Worrow's brother coincidentally.
My point is I'm agreeing with you about doing any civic work, of course they don't, you could sack 90% of councillors and nothing would change

a truly unholy alliance forming here, dastardly david from the far right and red flag reg from the other side.

As Confucius may have writ; He who would ride two horses must be wary of a fundamental split.
Ignorance is bliss, bliss is happiness, I am happy...to draw your attention to the possible connectivity in the foregoing.

Howard, think of politics as a flat piece of paper that rolls into a cylinder. The far right and the far left are the same thing, ask Hitler and Stalin.
I'm pretty sure Reg or I are neither of those

So if we abolish councillors, we won't have local democracy.
One can choose which councillors to vote for, you know! It's just a question of examining their pre-electoral promises and intentions, and making the right decision at the ballot box.

i have to agree with your assessment alex, the real question is how many councils and councillors we need.

Vic, Howard's comment was a joke which I thought you would have got if you read Reg's comments on the number of councils and councillors we have.

I try to be neutral and polite but it is hard and getting even more difficult at times.
