Further to your post to prove the 2 major parties can't just rely on votes
look at st rads where an independent did previously beat labour in it's safest seat
and of course here in priory where I beat the labour party against all odds
so the 2 major parties have to engage more.

We differ I feel on what has happened.
the 2 remaining UKIP geezers(sorry ex UKIP) were voted in by people supporting the policies of the UKIP party.
They no longer have to abide by, support, or even can stand officially against a UKIP candidate
It wouldn't stop the 2 ex candidates who were voted in by UKIP support to stand and could even retain the seat, but at the moment no one knows where these people stand or even if they continue to support UKIP policies
