Dear Forumers,
I wonder why the Liberal Democrats have never won the government election in the UK. I know that they were in the Coalition, with the nuptials of David Cameron and Nick Clegg, but the Liberal Democrats had no real power in that arrangement and it was basically a disaster for them. They are supposed to be one of the main parties but they never win many seats. There has not even been a Liberal MP in Dover since 1873.

Dear Button,
I presume that you mean the First Past The Post system. And yes, that is such an unfair system. Only Proportional Representation is fair and truly democratic.
The Liberal Democrats are of course a result of the Liberals and SDP joining together as one party. And perhaps they have never recovered from the scandal in the 1970s, the business with the Liberal leader and someone's dog being shot on Exmoor.

Liberals were in a coalition with Labour once , but didn't want to chair any meetings , thus there stay was short.
That said Philip King stood many times in Elms Vale, at the time one of the Tories safest seats ,
Eroding the vote each election, can't remember how many times he stood before winning the seat

Dear Captain Haddock,
Yes Rinka the Great Dane dog. The incident was part of a big scandal that perhaps ruined Liberal Democracy. Whereas the Conservatives were able to get over the Profumo Affair, and also the times when they had a lot of gay sex with rent boys. And Labour carried on despite their MPs faking their own suicides.

Dear ray hutstone,
Oh my god I had no idea that I am just merely a computer program. But after lunch I will still go for a walk around the Dover area.

Dear Arthur,
I like to have long walks such as today and to randomly explore. A flaneuse must observe society's landscape for themselves.

Dear Keith Sansum1,
Let us face it, the only hope for the Liberal Democrats is if Labour are the biggest party but do not win enough seats at the next general election. And Keir Starmer therefore needs to have Ed Davey. Then it would be their nuptials in the rose garden.
