Over 600 jobs will be on offer along with a host of skills and training opportunities at the Big Dover Jobs & Skills Fair at the Port of Dover's Cruise Terminal Two on Tuesday, 18 October (10am to 3pm), organised by Dover District Council, the Department for Work & Pensions, Port of Dover, and East Kent College Group.
As well as finding out about job opportunities with over 40 local employers, there will also be free employability workshops offering practical support and information on job hunting, CV writing and interview techniques.
There is free parking at Cruise Terminal Two in the Western Docks and a free Stagecoach shuttle bus running throughout the day with stops at Pencester Road bus terminus, Dover Health Centre, Dover Town Hall, and Dover Priory railway station.
Cllr Trevor Bartlett, Leader of Dover District Council, said: "It's great to be working again with the Department for Work and Pensions, Port of Dover, and the East Kent College Group to showcase the wide range of jobs and training opportunities on offer across the district."
Doug Bannister, Chief Executive of the Port of Dover, said: "We are delighted to be hosting the Big Dover Jobs and Skills Fair at our Cruise Terminal this month. The Port is home to the largest local employment site in the area and we thus have an important role to play as a custodian of the local economy. We will have our own stand at the Fair and we encourage people to come and hear about the variety of careers available at the Port of Dover."
