Stagecoach did not get to rule the world by paying any attention to upsetting local feelings.
All is not lost, I have submitted a bid for £2 and it is presently receiving due consideration.
I am counting on my experience at setting up Victoria Park International, seen here with a low cost airline flight coming in to land, to swing the bid.

15 May 2014 11:30266421I agree Kevin, if Manstone was north of Watford there would have been a hue and cry about the closure with loads of money poured into the place.
I also agree with Ed, from day one the owners earmarked Manstone for closure having paid lip service to "we tried to run Manston as a viable airport.". how long before planning for housing etc goes in.-----------------------------------------------------------------------

I posted the above back in April, having just watched Meridian it seems I was right, secret talks about housing were going on between Thanet Council and possibly KCC, no wonder she turned down the asking price.
