EXtra - Page No 9. Marek's Party.

This is just an early taster from the Party held by Marek last night (friday Oct 26) at the Three Links Club. What a fab collection above of fantastic Philipino women, all looking entirely delicious. It was a great little party, with as ever the steady and usual bunch of old forumite guys turning up. The same top bunch keep all the parties and events going, and going with a swing too, so good on you chaps, and as ever more pictures of them to follow along shortly.
But back to the Party. A huge thanks must go to Marek for being a really tip top and engaging host, he even did a brief comic stand-up turn with the microphone, and especially for supplying a wonderful collection of different food, all entirely FREE, and really delicious it was too. Wish I had some more right now. He was aided and abetted by lovely wife Maritas, who also did a great hosting job, and by super roving ambassador lil daughter Natascha. As I said above...the food was great, the people were great, and the place was just right.And speaking of Maritas and Natascha...here they are..
This lovely picture on the left was taken by ColetteB on the ould trusty Kodak, an early model that's been through thick and thin but still produces the odd good one..ermm the camera I mean!

Pic on left shows yours truly arriving with the girls Briony and Saskia (Saskia jetlagged as just back from New York) in time for the food as spread out by Marek. That's him in the background there in the picture on the right, explaining to the enthusiastic throng what each dish is...and gosh was the food popular! All the food was homely produced by the Philipino girls. Back to the picture on the left and you can see the very wicked Nigel Collor trying to balance a pint of beer on my head while the picture is being taken...and me not knowing a thing about it..ooh he's a bad boy so he is!!lol
Great to see Roger and Jean as always and Jean looking really well and in radiant health. Really great to see. Pic on right shows Barry W-S enjoying a quiet pint after a hard day at the dentist earlier..oh dear! And who's that lurking around the corner... well its none other than our famous Croc of the Dour, the ever good humoured Ian Lillford himself.
Took this picture of a lovely group of regulars at the Three Links Club. I'm sure they were wondering who all the strangers were, but all were having a good time anyway, as looks obvious, and they were happy to pose for a shot or two.
Ah! that's media mogul man of the moment, one Stewart Dimmock, deep in deep conversation with young Nigel Collor about the highs and lows of High Court challenges, Global Warming, and that man Al Gore. Stewart is now seriously out of pocket after his semi successful legal effort, however rumour has it he may have found a local backer!!? No names no packdrill!
Guzzler Tom Mitchell shows the way to ..ermmm ..'guzzle' a chicken whole! This was serious work and he couldnt let a guy with an intrusive camera come between him and the job at hand. As you can clearly see Guzzler was assasinating the poor chicken and enjoying the food all round. Well done that man!
As you can clearly see from this picture on the left, Nigel is obviously a man highly experienced in scrum dining out. He has perfected the fine art of holding the loaded plate betwixt relevant fingers, while at the same time not needing to place his drink anywhere he may not be able to find it again in a hurry! The pic on the right is of course of the lovable duo Simon and Maggie S-K of War Memorial fame. These two are increasingly seen out on the town and very welcome they are tooo!
