Dover High Summer!

Ah high summer indeed. Golden sands, blue seas, and blue skies to match. It's still early and people are already swimming, others are making their way to the glorious beach through rose tinted streets. In the distance seagulls fly and ships limber up for their busy day ahead, rolling hither and tither to France. Who could ask for anything more! Dover in all it's glory. I thought there was something wrong with the page until I refreshed it and the pic stayed the same.
YUK!!!!!!!! - Ooh! I really like that, it's like our very own David Hockney painting of the Dover Seafront, very arty!
- Cool image - very continental - reminds me of the 1930's adverts for the seaside towns.
Was it done in Photoshop? - You know I think there's not enough people who are prepared to use bright colours any more. Everything is either black or a specific colour that's the new black. I think this picture is bright and original and I hope we see more of the same.
- I love it - diversity in Art is as important as people-diversity!! I paint, and I love to break out sometimes and paint landscapes in vivid purples and yellows instead of the usual. It creates an entire new perception. Love it!!
- Thanks all for the very interesting comments. Yes BuddyG it is similar to those posters of the 1930's where just base colours are used. I will try to do something similar to those at a future time when I get a chance.
