Heidi's New Baby ! See pictures.

Heidi of course is one of our longest serving Forumites..from way back in the early days of Doverforum.
She used to be Mum of Five in the membership, then that got changed to Mum of Six, then only very recently it got changed to Mum of Seven ! Great stuff Heidi Barter..and now here are the pictures...

she was born on the 5th of november at 04.26 by emergancy c section and weighed 4 pound 4 oz. she has been in SCBU since but is doing really well.
hopefully i will be able to bring her home within a week. talk soon xxx ps i have included a pic of harry too ! "
And this is picture on the left shows the famous little Harry..as featured on Doverforum previously. He was rather fantastically the only baby born to a Forumite and earned Heidi the title...Mum of Six. She is now of course Mum of Seven. The dover 7 !

i had some great news yesterday, ellie should be allowed home today or tomorrow as she is doing so well. woo hoo !!! i would also like to thank all the nurses in SCBU as without there support i would have lost the plot on day one. ( croc and guz, no comments thank you!) if its ok with paul, ill let you all know next week how her first week home has been. hope to see you all soon.
heidi xxx - Heidi by all means keep us informed, we are all very interested. We certainly wants to know how she gets on...its great that the news keeps getting better.

keith - Yes I hope all is very well...Ive just dropped Heidi a note to see if she can update us on this. Although I realise with 7 kids and lotsa puppies her time is limited !!lol
By the way the counter at the top wont be accurate here as its only recently been added. - hello there! firstly sorry i havent given a update as of yet ive been a very busy mummy! ive decided this time of year is not the best to have a new baby..
Young Ellie is doing ever so well, the health visitor came to visit last thursday and i had her weighed and she is a whooping 5 pound 12 oz.
Im starting to feel the effects of the night feeds, two hourly feeds is not to much fun, but i have got a very good friend who haas been looking after harry for me while i recover from the C section. It has been rather hard for me to make that desion but i feel its best for harry he gets the full attention he needs while i recover.
I would like to say to anybody who might read this and has a baby/ toddler and is finding it hard to ajust please , please, please get some help! Talk to a friend or family member, doctor, health visitor or sure start. it doesnt matter if its your 1st or seventh baby... post natal depression is a illness. your not going nuts and it is treatable DONT SUFFEER ALONE!! my email address is heidibarts@hotmail.com if you would like someone to talk to, it sometimes helps talking to a stranger and someone who feels the same as you!
In my humble opinion i have found the more of a hard pregnancy or birth you have can trigger it or maybe having baby in SCBU or with me, sleep depravation are major factors.
There is plenty of self help things you can do if you dont feel that taking anti depresants is for you. im sure paul wont mind if i post some bits on here.... hey it might help me too!!
Anyway im off to try and find my shoes and register ellie's birth, then going to meet my friend and have a coffee and talk about how i feel.

- Heidi thanks for that excellent posting, I feel sure it will help mums everywhere as I expect many experience similar difficulties. Im sure there are so many problems us fellas dont grasp. By all means keep using this section as your 'diary of events' and keep us all filled in. Good luck. Looking forward to your next installment on here.
- Heidi, I’m so glad Ellie-Ann Jai is doing well and that you are recovering. I totally agree with you getting help in looking after Harry and you have highlighted a very important point in asking for help if it’s needed. So many women don’t and try to struggle on with sadly sometimes disastrous consequences. It also helps to talk to someone because we sometimes feel like we are the only one’s experiencing certain things and it’s good to know we are not alone.

Roger - Thanks for that Jeane..I havent heard anything about that ie baby being back in hospital for New Year but hopefully it isnt anything too serious. I guess I better not email Heidi at the moment as it looks like she has her hands full. But wish them all well.
- hi all, yes baby ellie was in hospital over the new year, and to be honest it scared the poop outta me!
ellie had sickness, a temp and a rash, every mummys nightmare was unfolding before my eyes and i think at that point i realised no matter how much experiance one has how useless you can feel.
she has had to suffer drips and anti-biotics and a lumber puncture. the worst fear for any parent was negitive and she is now home again but having weekly check ups. no idea what was wrong with her, but apart from a sore back and some brusing she is ok and settling back into home life. i will keep you updated but as you can understand the fre time i have i spend sleeping !
heidi xx - Thanks for the text. I was so worried after what you told me over New Year. I didn’t want to alarm anyone but put a comment on here as I was hoping someone may have bumped into you when you were going to the hospital and knew what was happening.

- Heidi thanks a million for that update as I know its very difficult at the moment. Kids can get allsorts of mystery illnesses so hopefully it will all be alright in the end, and Ellie is home now and doing better. Gosh a lumber puncture...Ive heard of people having those before, it sounds painful indeed for a baby. But better days ahead for sure.
