1 January 2008
Barry and Alison Williams celebrating New Years Eve in dashing and glamourous style at the Chapter Eight 5 course 'Banquet' with added Music. A fascinating evening, if a bit different, with a good turnout of all age groups. Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves greatly, as they danced and dined the night away, with a brief and appropriate pause for the midnight bells. The celebration went on into the wee hours of the morning. More pictures to follow soon but bear with me...one isnt quite compos mentes today! Aspirin anyone!?
Later: Ah, have recovered somewhat so here we go with the rest of the snaps...
Aahhh! Lovely trio here of late night revellers. Yes it's the all conquering Jan Tranter, former mayor, councillor and fab forumite, hugging the two forumite babes Briony Boland on the left and Saskia Wadsworth-Smith on the right. They all look great as they enjoy the entertainment into the late night. Look at the fantastic necklace Jan T is wearing and look once again at the interesting place she keeps her raffle ticket. Alas alas she didnt hit the jackpot...this time!
Lovely Linda, the Lady in Red. Yes it's Linda Hannent looking sparkingly vivacious, not to mention fantastic, and enjoying the night greatly with super daughter Victoria, a longtime forumite favourite, and on the left her mom Betty who we met for the first time. Hope you managed to get through all five courses girls!
Enjoying this delightful female sandwich..oooh dont mention sandwiches and dont mention food of any kind, there was too much, but enjoying being sandwichly squeezed here, if I can put it that way, and from all directions too is yours truly PaulB. After a few glasses of the fine vintage one gets oneself into all kinds of predicaments. Well it makes the party go with a swing doesnt it. Alison Williams on the left is a good time girl of generous good humour and fine assets and of course she always helps the party go with a swing. On the right is the latest addition at the forumite gatherings, Una Mills, who likes to exercise those long legs with a good rumba on the dance floor! Her outfit shimmered fantastically, so it did, under the sparkling lights.
This is the another shot of yours truly and the ever lovely Jan Tranter. Jan has a tendency to come out great in all the photos which makes it easy for the photographer, and anything that makes life easier for the poor harassed photographer is always welcome. So this is another lovely shot of the lady in question. Neither Jan nor myself ventured out onto the dancefloor, prefaring instead to gaze longingly into the baby blues of local photo ace Phil Medgett, as he bashed away merrily into the wee hours on his array of spectacular drums. Picture below. Phil was the drummer in the band of course.
On the left we have the aforementioned Phil in full flow, with his dazzlingly devillish drumsticks. Yes he's got the rhythm this boy and did very well in his good humoured way. For the life of me I cant remember the name of the band for the moment. oh dear..Im in trouble! The picture on the right is of two wide eyed kids, staring down at the band and the heaving dancefloor, from the balcony above. The photo opportunity was spotted by Barry W-S who pointed it out and I managed to get a quick shot. As we said earlier, it was an event for all ages.
