11 April 2008This winter's best picture.
Who would believe this picture was taken only a few short days ago and a cracker it is too. It looks like the dead of deep deep winter, as a lonely figure peddles his way homewards through the freezing blizzard, but no, as I say, its just a short time ago. April days eh! We have been enjoying blazing sunshine ever since so the weather is in serious topsy turvy mode. But this shot marvellously captures the gloom of a winter's day.
The Castle looking as magnificent as ever through the driving snow, while the picture on the right shows young Ted galloping at full stretch through Connaught Park. "Whats all this white stuff!?" says young Ted as he experiences snow for the first time. Hard shot to get..a dog pelting along at full tilt.
Just to finish off with this elegant tree study on the left, all on a beautiful Winters (Spring) day.
Many thanks to Karol Steele for getting out there into the winter wonderland, in such harsh conditions too, and capturing these lovely pictures for us all to enjoy.
Once again Karol has nailed everything that could possibly be said about that weather a few days ago.
I adore this picture, the eerieness of the lone cyclist, and the softness we associate with snow. This Pic has got it all.
Well done Karol xx
