Celebrating the grand opening of the Hythe Bay Restaurant in the Dover Seasports centre last friday night are from left the Chairman of Kent County Council Cllr Paulina Stockall, then the Chairman of the Eastwell Manor group of restaurants which includes the Hythe Bay restaurants.. Turrloo F Parrett, next along is Chairman of Dover District Council Cllr Sue Nicholas, and last but not least Mayor of Dover Cllr Ronnie Philpott.

In her speech Cllr Ronnie Philpott Mayor of Dover said " there has been a dramatic change to the restaurant for the better" as she welcomed this exciting new business to the town. Turrloo Parrett said that he was "absolutely delighted with the support Dover has shown, particularly from the Councils" and added that "The Hythe Bay has won the Best Seafood Restaurant in Kent recently and it is in The Times Top 20 of best seafood restaurants nationally ".
So, quite an impressive list of awards there. We welcome them to Dover...as Mr Parrett said "Dover is the winner!"

Councils in close proximity above...yes indeed, Cllr Sue Nicholas, bigwig chairman at DDC with Ronnie Philpott, bigwig Mayor at DTC.... Both enjoying their flowers in complete harmony as they listen to the welcoming speeches.
