Many thanks to our great doverforum teamsters Terry Nunn and Thomas 'Guzzler' Mitchell for sending in the pics you see here. Top two by Terry and the third one down from Guzzler. The latest shots are of course of the Duke of York's Royal Military School performing their very impressive Drumhead Ceremony on Sunday. This was, as I understand it, part of their Centenary celebrations. They shared Pencester Gardens in fine style with the Hellfire Corner Association's Weekend, so as you can imagine.. it was a very busy Pencester on Sunday. The whole weekend in Pencester was truly great which highlights how many terrific free events we have here in central Dover, thanks to the close proximity of Pencester Gardens. The events come right to the heart of the people so no travelling required. Great for our green footprint!
The top picture shows the Drumhead Ceremony in full flight. Very well captured by our man on the spot Terry Nunn. The second picture also by Terry shows the dignitaries during the Service which was also held as part of the Duke of Yorks RMS centenary celebrations. The shot below by 'Guzzler' shows a wider view of the events as they take place, with many a wide-eyed member of the public looking on.
