As anyone who lives in the affected roads will know, A20 roadworks has meant lorries have been clogging the town's streets for several nights no w does anyone know how long this is due to continue?

It seems astonishing that these road changes will take nearly a year to complete.

When this originally came up with the time scale mentioned I opined that it was a bit of spin from the usual source. Once the job gets done in 3 to 6 months they will say that they pulled all the stops out for the town that they love!!

So we will have to put up with lorries diverted through the town all year? It doesn't bear thinking about.

Dover 'Snarlgate' Street photos through the roadworks today. The two blue light ambulances just managed to get through thanks to a considerate foreign lorry driver.

My worry is that I've got to go along there in an hour's time and Traffic England is showing it as snarled up already! It was moving smoothly yesterday but Tuesday is always a bad day......

Some turn into my road do a left into Clarendon Street with the intention of getting back onto the Folkestone Road via Malvern Road, doubt if they gain access easily.

it seems that residents of Folkestone road are getting more traffic up the afore said road, aycliffe and the streatch of A20 to the docks get that noise etc 24/7/365 days of the year.
ps,folkestone road used to be the main drag for that traffic to the docks befoe the A20 was built.

Not quite the same thing Brian, though neither area should have to put up with it!

And it all had to thread its way through Canterbury in those days.
