The private sector jobs havent happened. Sadly there are ever more job cuts due, not only in the public sector as has been mooted often enough but further job losses due in the private sector. Only yesterday Sir Philip Green was talking doom and gloom on Sky News when he said he could be forced to close hundreds of stores...he owns the Top Shop BHS chains I dont know if he was deadly serious but if the High St is reeling like that then the economy is in huge trouble.
Osborne will need to pull some rabbits out of his hat.

It's high time such as Green fell heir to the wind they have sown.

One of the things people cut back on in hard times is holiday spending so I am not surprised at this.

Imagine how much worse the position would be if Darling's plan were followed - we would find ourselves downgraded and with higher mortgages without a doubt.
We have a financial hurricane approaching, Osborne knows this, and any measures and forecasts announced yesterday whatever, will be worthless when that hurricane hits.
See my Blog (posted this morning, Weds and to be replaced Saturday morning) I explain more there.

Ah yes, Barry. Truely an innovation on the old, "Good cop, bad cop." In politics it's always the good cop that speaks.

Now, now Brian. We must be fair. The Banking Levy has been increased by, 0.01 %
There was talk also of tax changes aimed at bringing more Global Enterprises to the UK, but no details thus far.

Sly blighters these bankers Brian, as likely as not the customer would pay. The test waiting in the wings is the bonus payouts where the public purse holds a majority share.
'We' may be lenient now the levy has been increased, although I should leave them to concoct their own excuses.
