I was there as a helper last night and agood turn out,mywife and i are just geting ready now to go again,we will be there today and tomorrow helping out a very full house today lets hope the same on Saturday.it is a well done to Pat and Ant, and all the crew there they work all the year round and do it all for nothing.Please come over to me for a chat and lets all hope for the good weather. - 30 May 2010 17:2954140Well it went off very well with about 1000over the 3days,well done again to Pat and her family +all the helpers over the 3 days,we went back this morning just to finsh the cleaning up.Ian can tell you more if he wish,s to about some forgery which cost the mill about £90
in beer sells. - 30 May 2010 22:1954193Let's not blow the forgery out of proportion; it was about £70 to £90 of Beer vouchers. A small group of young lads came in early Friday, then must have took a voucher home and run some forgeries off through their computer.
It is sad some have to stoop so low and a group of lads were spoken to, although we could not prove it was them. It was a one off and we will learn from it so that it does not happen next year.
The weekend was great thanks to all the volunteers who worked dam hard over the three days. I will not name them as I may miss one out, they know who they are and the Trustees thank each and every one of them for the hard work they put in.
Thanks also to all those that turned up to support the event which as I say was a total success, some went home a lot slower than they arrived but we have now had 6 beer festivals and never a spot of bother.

- 31 May 2010 09:3954221This is an Anuual event Colin but we do have planned a small Cider Festival for October and there will be a few real ales available at that event.
It is good to know you enjoyed your first Beer Festival and we look forward to seeing you again. As I said above in 6 years we have never had any trouble with conduct, people come for a good time and yes a few get a bit merry but they all make there way home safely afterwards. - 31 May 2010 09:4454222It is always a well run, orderly and very enjoyable event and one I am pleased to be associated with as a sponsor.
