It's not just that they are Tories, but also students at Oxford University. Is this what the taxpayer is funding, young party-initiates singing Nazi songs while rolling over bottles of port out of university hours?
So what are they teaching them, then, at Oxford University?

Actually Peter,
They call themselves Tories, many others, including myself, recognise them as Tories.
Why do you not recognise them as such?

Because I have never met a Tory who looks or behaves like that.

Reg, I could join the Communist Party but that would not make me a communist. If I really was a communist I would join the Labour party. And if my sympathies lay with the BNP I would join the Tories. Every mainstream party gets infiltrated by nutters...........

yes reg i think we know what sort of circle that the right honourable mr proctor preferred.
what defeats me is that he pays out for the rent boys, then punishes them.
no logic to his behaviour.

Peter.
I thought I must be wrong, so I went back to the link in post #1.
They are definitely Tories though, members of the University Conservative Association in fact.
Roger.
As I have said many times, I have many friends who are Tories and it is always the few that let the majority down. I judge people by their actions not by who they vote for and I do not join in with, or condone, political bashing, it gets us nowhere.
I agree, that these students behavior should not reflect on the Tory party as a whole but potential Tory representatives in one way or another, they are.

Thank you Gary - sounds a sensible approach to take. You may be right on the last part of your last sentence "but potential Tory representatives in one way or another, they are"; I find that rather sad, surely it can't be true of every one of those idiots - can it ?

Roger.
I hope not but who knows, apart from the oracle that is.
Unfortunately the Oracle does not seem to have matured enough, or have the courtesy, to read my post properly.
I said "Tory representatives in one way or another"
They will spread their wings to a variety of positions and not just in the echelons of politics.
As for being grown up, making light of someone, who shows such disrespect to others, merely puts that in question.
In fact, if I was to look forward in time and guess how these idiots will turn out, they have much in common with the Oracle himself.

Reg - you really take too much notice of silly bigoted newspaper stories and are willing to assign guilt by association, at least when it accords with your own prejudices.

#31. Yes, Reg, I have made up my mind - I made it up many years ago, never to join a political party and never to vote for a candidate whom I have not met personally. That latter one was difficult at the last election because I had met Gwyn, and knew Charlie, Vic and John Brigden personally. Having said that, I support whomever I believe is the best candidate, both before and after he/she is elected. At the last general election I thought Dover desperately needed a change so I voted for Charlie. He had, after all, taken the time to seek us out even before he had been selected as the Tory candidate and talk to us about what we thought was important. But if you knew my voting history over the years you might be surprised.
