Last night as i made my way home on the local stagecoach bus the 61a that my brother in law was driving the bus was shoot at by some sort of gun, by a white male youth at the Quebec terrace bus lane at Melbourne avenue. The offender had been seen laying in bushes the other side of the road awaiting the said bus as it went upon its journey. The window had shattered which sadly covered a two year old baby boy who was in his buggy, luckily he was uninjured. God forbid that the bullet hadnt been at a lower point as it would of hit the childs mother or father in the head!! makes me wonder were the offenders parents had gone wrong having a child who lays waiting to attack the local bus and terrifiy the passengers. The police were called and stagecoach made sure all the passengers got home ok thankfully some of the local children saw and knew the offender so the police had the information they needed to deal with this thug.

As i put this morning was the same as the statemant i gave to police the said hegde he boy was laying under was taller than him so he couldnt throw anything with such force as the window went from over the road!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Omg that is shocking, I cant believe someone would do that you know.
I hope that the person involved is caught and dealt with swiftly.
We cant even catch a bus these days without something happening.
Im glad everyone on that bus is ok though

Sadly shooting at buses with air riffles, ball bearing guns and throwing stones appears to be the in thing it happens quite regular. One day someone will get seriously hurt.
A few years back a London coach driver got hit in the shoulder with a large flint, it was thrown by someone on a footbridge over the A2 up near Dartford. The coach had 50 passengers and the driver managed to get the coach onto the verge prior to collapsing over the wheel. He ended up in Dartford hospital and had a plate fitted in his shoulder.
The driver did say he saw the flint thrown and all he could do was try to avoid it hitting his head by leaning to one side. He is still working as a driver but it could have been so much worse.

That is truly shocking Melissa. You must have been quite shaken up as well. I hope everyone in the bus is OK. What is up with these people? Are they in gangs egging each other on? I cannot see any other point to it.

I was counting all your posts this morning Melissa just before I disappeared for the day, until you got up to five. You were on a real high, and then you get this. Sorry to hear all the above, and you just never know what the day`s going to bring. I`m sure you`ll have a much better one tomorrow. Nice to see Bern back above, and we can all follow her lead #6.

Ian, I believe in Democracy and law and order, therefore, justice should be left to the State's Institutions. Decisions to modify and make laws should be democratic and institutional. Hot anger might be an on the spot or personal reaction, but this individual didn't manage to harm anyone, so rather we should thank the Lord!
