  No the Crowne Plaza. A 4* conference type hotel stuck on the edge of town. Lovely rooms and probably the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in. But all the extras were incredibly expensive and all the food was terribly boring and bland.

  The Hotel to which I referred to Peter is set on the banks of the Thames .

  Yes Sue I have known the Compleat Angler beside Marlow Bridge since about 1960 when we moved to High Wycombe. In those days the Queen and Philip used to frequent it. It has always been spectacularly expensive.

  Just to say it was lovely to see you again Colette on Saturday night, and you looked so fantastic no one could ever believe you had recently been very ill. I'm glad you had some lovely birthday celebrations to remember. It was great to see everyone else there too. So sorry we couldn't stay long.
