Popped into town this morning for a general fitness walkabout, nothing planned, but spotted Howard on a bench in town. Had a good natter, and a few laughs, great bloke to talk to, and he told me Vic was at the townhall. Had a stroll up there for a natter with Vic and his dear wife, and got a few pics, and I met Keith Sansum for the first time, who I`d seen around for years, without knowing who he was, so a surprise meet for both of us. Very nice to have met you Keith. He was incidently talking to Vic and not canvassing with him.
A cuppa and cake in my favourite local eating place, and then a walk up Military Hill, down to the A20, round the marina and back up town. Now the early afternoon, and I spotted a small congregation where Vic was earlier in the day. It included Bill Newman, my former english tutor many years ago. I was taking a picture of him from a short distance away when, lo and behold, Gwyn Prosser appeared. Went over for some pics, shook hands with him, then I went to Bill Newman, shook hands with him then introduced myself and we had a good natter about former teachers who were still with us or not. Sad that many had gone. A nice gentleman Bill, and hope to meet him again sometime. Raining now, so made my way back to the debrad car park, but on the way, I found the conservatives out and about and spotted BarryW and after a freindly handshake and natter, some more pics. Very interesting day out for me, and a great lot of people to meet. After today, I think I may go back to work again for a rest!
Tell them that I came, and no one answered.
