I do not think i need to add to all this, but to say that the sides were asked for.and they have now been given so over to the D,D,C to do there bit and give back the funding which was put to one side for this play area £1000.000+ and get on with the job,This funding is not coming out of the tax payer but was put in place by the company that put the flats up in folkstone Rd,And as I said at a meeting last week at Whitfield to the Parish Council and their Action Group "You also have been told you will get funding back from the company who might put all the house,s up which you do not want, if it goes ahead all funding must go to the Parish Council not the D,D,C,or you will not see it again just like Folkestone Rd. I said this at a public workshop up at Whitfield and the D,D.C. was there but did not get up and say anything about what I said.

Not completely true Vic .106 money can be used in an adjacent Parish .This was the case with Keasney Abbey play area .106 money is also used by KCC .maybe for a new school ,library etc .
There is a 106 Committee at DDC which looks at 106 money .funding .

Sue/Victor, for heaven's sake, STOP this political football match, do you still NOT get the message? This is not about past events but getting some much needed play equipment for the kids of that area.
Keith/Roger/Howard/PaulW, excellent responses, thanks very much.
Stuck on the touchline I'm not sure what is needed to go to the next stage but it seems to me agreeing which site to go for is probably key. From the responses I get the impression that the original site, with all its limitations, is probably going to be the best for a speedy solution.
What do we need to do next?

Sid ,Im not playing politics I do have the benefit of being on the DDC .I merely point out that some 106 money is directed to adjacent Parishes .
What do you do Sid re Clarendon play area .Apart from having a word on here ,write to the Councillors in that area .Write to Cllr Collor and Cllr Chandler .
Find out proress on the sites .There is a greater amount of funding needed for the original site .More than the 106 money .
Speak to the relevant Officers in Leisure or Property Management Services .All of the actions will get you further than posting on here
I will only give you the truth and pass on relevant information .
You DDC councillor is off sick at present however as a Councillor in an adjacent Ward to you my ears and time is yours .
Thanks Sue, much appreciated. I have no idea who my local Counciullor is, ill or not, I've just got back from Nigeria and obviously missed the election. I do appreciate your "ears and time" though, thanks.
