Dover in football like a lot of small football clubs has to compete with players and even at the club the players have agents!
Dover has battled at a far higher level than it can probably afford .
Without doubt the chairman came in once club be some stable , and then set about getting grants
For a new stand , the social club redevelopment
And other ground improvements .And of course it's rumoured he paid towards some of the wages .
But on the negative side
He hardly ever speaks to anyone in the ground
Many volunteers I know attended outside of games to help paint , or clean up around ground ,stopped going because they used to be given a free hamburger , he stopped all that .
Weigh up the cost of it he lost a lot of voluntary help.
He has in past asked community to get involved but they want to see someone who wants them to be there more than just for there money .
I will be there wherever they end up
A true supporter

You see also correct that money floods into the premier League and local clubs like Dover are left to go under
The FA cup rewards for winning ties was also reduced in earlier rounds (where small clubs enter)
And increased in later rounds where the premier clubs come in
Of course players wages and such like is all out of control now and unlikely to change
