And at last a good news story on the horizon...Dover Athletic can win the Ryman Premier League title if they win at home to Sutton United this Saturday - kick-off at Crabble, 3pm.
Be there. Everyone. Spread the word. Tell your friends. Dovorians together as one. Come on you Whites!

i am assuming that this must be reliant on someone else losing(staines).
will the league have the trophy there just in case?
the supporters deserve to see it paraded about at crabble by the players.

If Staines draw or lose and we win, we are champions.
I doubt very much of the trophy will be there tomorrow. There are two further home games after this.

not the point though andrew, takes the edge of things.
i have been in this situation many times with my team(usually avoiding relegation), when the good news comes through it is great to celebrate with fellow supporters on the spot.

But Howard that is the way it will happen. That's how the Ryman League works.
If things go our our way tomorrow there will certainly be plenty of celebrating and then we will do it again in a couple of weeks when the trophy is presented.

it got a very brief mention on bbc local news tonight.
i would imagine that they will have a camera there tomorrow, so that if all goes well, they can fill a bit of space in monday evenings programme.

i saw the staines result, a draw, and wondered if dover had scraped a win to seal things.
30 seconds later the score came through 6 nil!!!
that is what you call style, the added advantage of winning the league so early is that the mangement team have more time to plan for the next season at a higher level.
congrats to all at the club.

Yes indeed I had a message through on my answer machine from Phil Medgett , thanks Phil if your looking in, saying that they had won 6-0 and the rivals elsewhere drew, so Dover wins the league title. I had to play the message back to double check, as ..well 6-0 is unbelievable. Bet there was a great party atmosphere up there.
Well done the Whites!

Ross
As your a teetotaller just how do you celebrate?
My wife celebrates by having a dinner party or having guests round to the house.
I celebrate by having a pint with close and good friends. So over to you Ross.

As has been said Dover did it in style in front of a big crowd and should be proud.
The footy club has had the bad days and is now on the up.
We should all be proud

Depends what I am celebrating - if it is something personal then a good meal, if it is something like the football then have a good cheer and smile
