23:3535090Not only could Deal lose a very good hospital, but also the few fishing boats on the front ,The E,U. are now trying to stop fishing boats that are coming out of ports that they say are not fishing ports and poor old DEAL IS ONE OF THEM.
U.K.I.P. is at this time the only party fighting to come out of the E.U.
If the E,U. gets it own way over the above what will happen to Towns like Hastings and all the other ones around the U.K. more jobs gone and some of them fishmen have been fishing in the seaside towns like Deal all their lifes and their familys before them,it is time to get out.

23:5935093will be interesting to see the votefor UKIP in places like hastings and further along the south coast.
the feeling of betrayal has run deep for a long time, at last people there have a voice that speaks for them.

12:4135114Howard Thank you for that and I will be speaking out for Deal aswell it would not be the same walking along the Deal front and NOT seeing the fishing boats, but that will happen if we can not do anything about it now.

14:0935129deal seafront would be very dull without the fishing vessels there.
we have the ferries and cruise liners to make things interesting.

Quite agree the fishing boats help make Deal even more of an interesting place. The picture above was taken a month or so back and shows an artist painting one of the vessels as it returns from fishing. They hike the vessel up the beach on a pulley type device. The woman was visiting from up north and came there to paint Deal's various attractions including the picturesque fishing boats.

20:4035151it is a shocker vic, our politicians nationally have just let it all happen and will turn a blind eye to this issue too.
i have heard nothing from our prospective candidates locally on the subject either.

20:4935154There was something on the news page on yahoo earlier this week when I logged on. The last fishing vessel from an eastern seaport, (Great Yarmouth?), was due to sail for the last time. The skipper was the third generation of his family, and blamed it on the european union.
Tell them that I came, and no one answered.

23:3735166I hate to say this again but it is U.K.I.P. only, fighting to get out of the E,U, and try to save what we have left in the U.K. I told you about the fishing boats going, the other partys did not even read the small print to late now it is going to happen unless we get out in 2010, that will only happen if U.K.I.P has a say in it."TRUE"

09:3635184But it isn't the small fishing boats that have caused that Brian, it's the massive floating fishing factories that have done that.
Small fishing boats and their owners are being punished for the EU stupidity of allowing these massive ships to devour OUR stocks.
Leave the little ones alone.

11:5535194that is right about the smaller fishing boats trying to eke out a living.
to make matters worse they are planning to make it unfeasible for small boat operators to take out small parties of sea anglers.
our masters in brussels only really care for the big organisations that run factory ships, they have the power to answer back.

12:0835199Local fishing just out side the port is doing nothing to the fish stocks but the E,U, is going to stop small parties of sea anglers aswell .
