16:2734773Hi all, and I do apologise, but it`s back to post 34 I`m afraid. I shall email PaulB, who`s free to give you any info. I again wish you all a very happy and memorable evening. Meet you all sometime I`m sure.
Tell them that I came, and no one answered.

19:4334777Wasn't sure if I could make it tonight. Now I know I can't! Maureen has dragged me around doing the Christmas shopping today and the arthritic knees have given up. Have a nice time you lot, I expect I shall nod off about nine.

08:3634785Yes it was a great evening; Tony has made a great venue there at Jessica's Bar and also supplied superb food.
Well done to Colette for organising it, excellant - you did us proud.
Good to see everyone, but sorry that one or two couldn't make it.
The ceiling is very low - isn't it David ?? I couldn't stand up straight, nor could one or two others; a good venue nonetheless.
Once again - well done.
Roger

I heard that you 'not being able to stand up straight' had more to do with your consumption of the Christmas porter than it did with the height of the ceiling
Only joking...it sounds like you had a super time just a pity I am marooned on this island.First doooooo I have missed for a while. I am sure Tonys pancake rolls filled the gap..
I must admit that for the first time it dawned on me what a big step it is to move on from a place where you have lived for 30 years and made goods friends to go to somewhere that hardly anybody knows you (a blessing the wife says...haha).
Hope you all had a super time.Merry Christmas

11:5334805Thanks to all for a great evening (and to Linda H for turning my raffle tickets into winners). Good to see so many there and such excellent food. So what are the plans for the New Years bash?
Politics, it seems to me, for years, or all too long, has been concerned with right or left instead of right or wrong.
